Melody Brooks has cerebral palsy and is stuck in a wheelchair or way of speaking. She is a genius. She can remember everything she has seen and heard since she was born. She finally finds a way to get “out of [her] mind” and is able to express herself through the use of a machine that she can speak through. This machine helps her make friends, and live a life more fulfilled.
