Bishop, N. (2007). Spiders. NY: Scholastic.
Spiders beautifully describes different types of spiders and how they alike and differ as well as how they live, where they live, and how harmful they are. It also teaches the reader about how they eat, hunt, molt, make webs, and mate.
I would use this book to teach ELA TEK 2.10 Students are expected to distinguish between fiction and nonfiction. I would have them use the text features, pictures, and parts of the book to identify what type of book it is. They could also use it to learn about the life cycle of a spider in science.
