Sendak, M. (1963). Where the wild things are. NY: Harper Collins.
Max is upset and wants to escape. So he sets sail and goes to where the wild things are, where he becomes their king and has a wild rumpus. He enjoys it there and then decided it is time to go home, where his dinner is waiting for him. This book is a classic and one of my favorites.
